Acoustic Research AR-4X Crossover Recap Kit For sale is a high-quality recap kit for the complete overhaul of the crossovers in a pair of Acoustic Research AR-4X loudspeakers. This kit enables both speakers to be professionally recapped and their original sound quality restored. The kit includes new, very high-quality Supertech MPT film capacitors (metallised polypropylene film capacitors), which ensure a clear, balanced and reliable sound. Please open your speakers before purchasing to check which version is installed. It is recommended to check both speakers, as different versions may be present within the same pair. Installation Installation is relatively simple, provided you have basic knowledge of electronics. You will need a soldering iron, solder, a Phillips screwdriver, side cutters, and hot glue or rubber cement to attach the components. If you are unsure, we recommend having the installation carried out by a qualified technician.
